About Ogwen Mountain Guides Snowdonia
Our aim is simple, to offer fun, social and informative adventures in the beautiful mountains and coast around Snowdonia, by means of professional, yet friendly guiding and instruction to people of all ages and abilities.
OMG Snowdonia is run by Richard Stone, 30+ years experience climbing and mountaineering throughout the UK, Europe, America, Asia, and Africa. Including 8000m Himalayan peaks and several classic alpine north faces.
20+ years resident of Snowdonia in the Ogwen Valley, pioneering many first ascents and MTB descents in the area.
Passionate and knowledgeable on all aspects of mountain sport, and the natural and local history of Snowdonia.
Ist class Honours degree Zoology with Ecology
Qualified Rock Climbing Instructor, Mountain Leader (summer and winter)
Qualified REC outdoor first aider
Member of British Mountaineering Council
Member of the Mountain Training Association
